Symbolic links work too. This provides a number of benefits:

|
* low maintenance: when updating to a newer version, the grub.cfg
|
|
|
|
|
can stay the same
|
|
|
|
|
* versioning: easily check the current configuration on what version is
|
|
|
|
|
actually used by looking at the file name.
|
